Castor Oil

Made from the castor seed, castor oil has many benefits, both for the skin and for consumption. It's a natural moisturizer and promotes the healing of wounds. It is also anti-inflammatory and non-comedogenic. Some people do find it mildly irritating, so if you have any concerns, let us know!

Jojoba Oil

Made from the jojoba seed, it is moisturizing and non-comedogenic. It's also antibacterial, rich in antioxidants, and hypoallergenic. People with skin conditions like eczema often find it particularly soothing.

Candelilla Wax

Candelilla wax is derived from a shrub and often used in place of beeswax to create vegan cosmetics. It's also high in nutrients.

Synthetic Mica

Mica is a mineral that can be ground so fine that it becomes naturally shimmery. The mining of natural mica, however, is associated with child labor, lung issues, and contaminated supply chains. Synthetic mica is free of those concerns, structurally identical to natural mica and remains biodegradable, plastic-free, and non-toxic.

Mica itself is usually an off-white color. The amazing color options are a result of mixing mica with other pigments.

Iron Oxides

Iron oxide pigments are minerals. Though they can be found in nature, the only iron oxides that are approved for use in U.S cosmetics are synthetically made in order to avoid contamination by dangerous chemicals.

Iron oxides usually come in red, orange, yellow, brown, and black.

Bayberry Fruit Wax

This wax is also completely vegan. It's a bit of a strange one because it melts pretty easily, but when it's solid, it is SOLID.
